Dans un lycée américain, cinq adolescents sont collés : Bronwyn (l'élève parfaite), Addy (la fille populaire), Nate (le délinquant), Cooper (la star du baseball) et Simon (le gossip boy du lycée). Mais Simon ne ressortira jamais vivant de cette heure de colle... Et les enquêteurs en sont vite sûrs, sa mort n'est pas accidentelle. Dès lors qu'un article écrit par Simon contenant des révélations sur chacun d'eux est découvert, Bronwyn, Addy, Nate et Cooper deviennent les principaux suspects du meurtre.
Ce qui est sûr, c'est qu'ils ont tous quelque chose à cacher...

Mon Avis :

 I wanted to read this book because I thought it would have the same vibes as " A good Girl's Guide to Murder" but it did not.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good book, but it has a lot less suspense and action. 

The narration is shared between the different protagonists, at the beginning, I had a hard keeping track of who is who.  

It's interesting to have different points of view, it allows us to form an opinion and also to conduct the investigation at the same time as the story moves on.

Because there were a lot of characters I didn't connect with any of them. I felt like they didn't have anything "real" to them. They were portrayed as the stereotypes of American teenagers: the bad boy, the nerd, the prom queen, and the athlete. I also felt like most of the time, they have shown very little emotion throughout the story. Like, come on! You are suspected of murder show a tad bit of fear and anguish!
For me, one of the most interesting plot points of the story was the relationship that developed between two of the characters... Honestly to the point where that was what I was looking forward to through the majority of the book.

I also appreciated the character development of Addie, she went from a shy girl to a literal badass !

I felt like the book was more character orientated I would have much preferred the story to be more focused on the investigation.

Despite all of that, the end was appreciable, surprising, and well thought out. But because of the writing and the wobbly interlocking events, I couldn't really appreciate the plot twist. Honestly, I was just like "Oh really? Ah, that's cool". Like I said before there's no suspense because the writing leaves no room for it.

It is a  good novel, but something was missing to convince me completely.

J'ai voulu lire ce livre parce que je pensais qu'il aurait les mêmes vibes que "A good Girl's Guide to Murder", mais ce n'est absolument pas le cas.

Ne vous méprenez pas, c'est un bon livre, mais il y a beaucoup moins de suspense et d'action dedans.

La narration est partagée entre les différents protagonistes. Au début, j'ai eu  beaucoup de mal à savoir qui était qui.

C'est intéressant d'avoir des points de vue différents, ça permet de se faire une opinion et aussi de mener l'enquête en même temps que l'histoire avance mais parfois on s'y perd.

Parce qu'il y a beaucoup de personnages avec lesquels je trouve qu'on arrive pas bien a s'accrocher. J'avais l'impression qu'ils n'avaient par l'air réels.. Ils sont les stéréotypes des adolescents américains : le mauvais garçon, le nerd, la reine du bal et l'athlète. J'avais aussi l'impression que la plupart du temps, ils ont montré très peu d'émotions tout au long de l'histoire. Genre, allez ! Vous êtes soupçonnés de meurtre montrez un brin de peur et d'angoisse !

Pour moi, l'un des points d'intrigue les plus intéressants de l'histoire était la relation qui s'est développée entre deux des personnages , la romance... a tel point que c'était ce que j'attendais avec impatience au cours de la majorité du livre.

J'ai aussi apprécié le développement du personnage d'Addie, elle est passée d'une fille timide à une vraie badass !

J'avais l'impression que le livre était plus axé sur les personnages, j'aurais de loin préféré que l'histoire soit plus centrée sur l'enquête. 

Malgré tout cela, la fin était appréciable, surprenante et bien pensée. Mais à cause de l'écriture et des événements qui s'emboîtent bancalement, je ne pouvais pas vraiment apprécier la tournure de l'intrigue. Honnêtement, j'étais juste comme "Oh ok ". Comme je l'ai déjà dit, il n'y a pas de suspense car l'écriture ne lui laisse aucune place et ceci est bien dommage ! 

C'est un bon roman, mais il manquait quelque chose pour me convaincre complètement.
